New York Daily News, Yale Daily News and IPO Daily News

A daily newspaper founded in 1919, the New York Daily News is one of the most prominent newspapers in the United States. Its distinctive tabloid format and sensational headlines helped it become a staple of American culture, competing for attention with the more mainstream New York Post until the latter was sold to Tronc in 2016. The News has since dropped its circulation to less than 100,000 daily.

Throughout its history, the Daily News had a varied editorial stance. In the 1940s and 1950s, it supported isolationism, while in the 1980s it began to shift its stance toward moderately liberal populism. By the 1990s it had evolved into a “high-minded, if somewhat muddled” paper, as described by The New York Times.

The Yale Daily News is a daily student newspaper published Monday through Friday during the academic year at Yale University. The News is the oldest college newspaper in the country and is financially and editorially independent of the University. The News aims to publish articles that reflect the diversity of the Yale community and serve its readers.

In addition to the daily News, a shorter news summary, WKND, and the Weekly, the News also produces several special issues each year. These include the Yale-Harvard Game Day Issue, the Commencement Issue and the First Year Issue. The News is committed to the principle of ethical journalism, and strives to report in a fair and balanced way.

With an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Left, the Daily News supports liberal and progressive thought and policy agendas. It has a pro-labor and anti-war slant.

The ITN Video Archive is a unique and remarkable repository of British cultural history, featuring iconic news footage dating back to the company’s first broadcasts in 1955. The archive includes footage from world-changing events, including the fall of the Berlin Wall, Nelson Mandela in hiding and exclusive access to Royal engagements.

The IPO Daily NewsTM is three to five concise paragraphs a day that include summaries of all patent and trademark opinions in the Federal Circuit and wire service stories of other selected IP cases. The Daily News covers news, developments and insights in the area of intellectual property law and is a trusted source for news, information and analysis.
