Entertaiment is a wide and varied collection of activities, ranging from individual choices in entertainment products; to banquets adapted for two; to performances intended for thousands; to global competitions staged for television. It includes necessary skills, such as hunting or archery, which have developed into serious sports and professions, while other activities that are necessary to survive, such as a job, can be transformed into entertainment with a broad appeal to an audience. Some forms of entertainment have a strong association with amusement, while others are more serious, such as ceremonies, religious festivals or satire.
