Entertaiment is a vast area, from a single individual choosing personal entertainment from an ever-growing array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two or a party for a group of any size and structure; to events designed for thousands and even for a global audience. Many forms of entertainment have demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt to different media, and this flexibility has resulted in the longevity and familiarity of many themes and images. Entertainment often hits on the points the brain was evolved to deeply react to, such as backstabbing, murders and other social problems that can be extremely traumatic.
